natural diy camera filters

I love nature. I think it is the most wonderful beautiful resource that God has given us. From the vegetables, herbs, flowers and leaves. So for me as an artist, there is nothing better than using this world as a object for art. The latest one I've discovered is leaves.

Actually I discovered leaves years ago, but have never considered using them as a filter for my camera. All you have to do is tear up a leaf and place it over the camera lense and see what happens when you take the photo.

This technique works well on digital cameras or just on your phone. Or for a more of challenge try using a film camera as the results can be really exciting.

The great thing about this method is it is easily transferable. Want a light leak looking filter? Cover over part of the lense with a yellow flower. Want a retro feel? Try using red flowers or leaves. The possibilities are endless and I know I will trying them out!
